Dr. Chris Chard, the creator of SportsmanChip™, is a father of two young boys - Carter, five, and Lucas, three. After completing his under-graduate studies at the University of Western Ontario, where he played for the Mustang hockey team, Chris embarked on a four-year professional hockey career in England. While there, Chris pursued a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Leicester. Chris then pursued a Ph.D. from the same institution. Chris has been a professor at Brock University, in the Department of Sport Management, and a brand manager at ScotiaMcLeod.
Dan Keogh is the founder and CEO of Waterford Industries Ltd., a fully integrated brand marketing firm that builds branded solutions for athletes and celebrities. Dan completed a degree in economics at the University of Texas El Paso while on a golf scholarship. He has played professional golf in Canada, the United States, and South America. After retiring from golf, Dan founded Head for Cover Sports Inc., a domestic manufacturer of sports bags and other sporting goods. This business was sold to U.S. interests in 2000. Dan now focuses much of his energy on expanding the Weir Golf brand into a multi-channel licensed apparel and general sporting goods brand. He lives in Toronto with his wife and daughter.
Amanda Patey is the illustrator for SportsmanChip™. Amanda graduated from McMaster University in 2001 with a double major in English and Fine Arts. In 2002 Amanda furthered her artistic ambitions, graduating from Sheridan College’s Graduate Illustration Program.
